I was so happy to be chosen as one of the 50 bloggers to participate in Elmer’s Bag it Forward Campaign.  Michigan has been hard hit by the recent economic downturn and many parents are struggling.  I hate for children to be worried about school supplies and whether their parents can afford them.  I was glad that the girls and I could purchase school supplies for a few children and make their lives a bit easier. I wanted the girls to participate and realize how lucky they are and how good giving can feel. We purchased school supplies for two children and are donating them to the Rochester Area Neighborhood House.  Check out our trip on the whrrl below.  We had a great time picking out the supplies and a backpack for two children.

This Back to School season, Elmer’s is celebrating it’s every day low pricing on back to school supplies at Walmart by partnering with Adopt-A-Classroom to help make a difference in classrooms across the country.   Elmer’s will donate up to $10,000 to Adopt-A-Classroom with your participation.

The Elmer’s Virtual Bag It Forward is charity blog meme, bloggers are able to raise $10 by writing a blog post and donating a virtual bag of school supplies . Elmer’s will donate $10 per each post written to Adopt-A-Classroom, up to $10,000.
